Awesome 4th of July

Our 4th of July was awesome! It was hot and filled with fun activities. We stayed the weekend at my in-law's in Rigby. First thing in the morning we went to Menan for their parade and festivities. The parade starts at 11 now (it used to be 2) so it wasn't quit so hot yet. We picked a good spot, kind of at the start. I'm not usually so close to the beginning, but it was great. We got tons of candy. Kelly's family was there, along with our good friends Cody, Hailey, and their 2 girls Presley, and Blakely. Hailey used to sit for me, Tyree and Blakely are best friends. Sam and Hailey were like little kids picking up the candy. Supposedly they were just "helping" the little girls so none of the candy got left. The little girls made a good haul. After the parade we went into the park to walk around the booths and of course eat tons of food. Tyree got her face painted. She took this selfie. About 2, when it was really hot, we left Menan and went up to one of our friend's house. They live really close to Kelly's parents and they have a pool. We had so much fun swimming in the pool and playing horseshoes. Tyree loved it. Clancy didn't like the pool, but loved sharing his crackers with the puppies. After a couple of hours of that we started getting hungry again, so it was back to the in-law's for a barbeque and some backyard volleyball. Yes we got everyone to play, even mom and dad. We stayed at the house to watch fireworks. From their house you can see the Menan fireworks pretty good, and some of the Idaho Falls ones. At dusk the kids played with some sparklers, but both fell asleep before the fireworks. It was a great ending to an awesome day! If you haven't checked my blog in awhile check the older posts. I've put up a few this last month, and stay tuned for more.

Clancy's 1st Birthday

Clancy's first birthday was June 24. I can't believe it. We did open a few presents on the Sunday before which was Father's day. Tyree was so excited about presents for Kelly that she thought Clancy needed to open a few too. On the day of his birthday we planned a fun filled day with the cousins. Cali, Gideon, Parker and two of our other friends Gavin and Isaac. Plus the great surprise of Aunt Hillary, Gabe and J.J. coming up from Utah. But first things first we had to get our present and happy birthday wish from Grandma and Papa. Tyree was always trying to unwrap his present and play with them. She told us she was "showing" him how. Then we had to stop at Great-grandma's house and get more birthday wishes from her and the other aunties Randi Jo and Sam. Clancy had a Dr.'s appt that morning. He is in the 90% for height and 70% for weight. He's growing great and everything looks awesome. After that we went to the park where we met up with the aunts and cousins. We had sandwiches and chips. Clancy slept through the first part of the party while the kids played on the playground. Then we had cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches, then presents. Happy birthday boy! The cupcakes were great, just ask Parker. After the park and the food we went to the zoo. It was so much fun!

Jumpin' June

So June flew by. It seems like we were always on the go. Just jumpin from one fun thing to the next. We got all settled in to our new little house. We've really liked it and Tyree loves having so many friends to play with. We've spent some of the weekends up in Gray's Lake, of course.  I love watching all the birds up there in the spring. Bluebirds, little song birds, Humming birds (which are really hard to get a good picture of), and this Killdeer that made her nest right in the driveway. We put that black thing around it to keep it safe, and yes the babies hatched and they have since moved on. We also love to fish when we're up there. Well Clancy just loves being outside, I don't think he cares about the fishing so much. Tyree is always great at bringing dad the worms. During the week when we aren't in Grays Lake there are so many fun things to do. Like going to the water park with our cousins. One day I took the kids up to Rexburg to meet with Cali, Travis and their kids at the water park. It took my kids a little bit to warm up to it, but once they did, they loved it. We had so much fun we definitely need to do it again. I did put Tyree in swim lessons, and Clancy and I did a mom and tot lesson. So maybe next time they'll be ready to bail right in. Of course in June we had Father's Day. Tyree was so excited to give her dad presents. We are so blessed to have Kelly in our family. The kids couldn't ask for a better dad and role model. He does such a great job leading our family. We love you! Also in June was Clancy's first birthday. I can't believe it. We had a fun filled day of cupcakes in the park, and going to the zoo, but I have a whole different post just for that. That was pretty much our June, remember to keep checking back.
