Bad News

On Christmas eve morning I went out to get Daffy from her kennel and noticed that she wasn't herself and had drastically lost weight. Over the next three days Kelly and I tried to keep her hydrated because she wasn't eating or drinking. It didn't do much good. Every day she got worse, and she passed on the 26th. I just thought I would pass this on, especially since I just posted that we had a dog, and now we don't. On a better note we had a fabulous Christmas, got everything we ever dreamed of, and ate way to much.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of you. Sorry it has been so long. Everything here is pretty much the same. I am busier than ever at work. 'Tis the season to have nice nails I guess. In our spare time we shoot a lot of pool. Sometimes we put together puzzles. It's amazing how fast the time goes when you sit down to put a puzzle together. This is one that Ryan and Skye let us borrow. We thought it was very fitting for us. Also we have a new addition to our family. No I am not pregnant, if you noticed in the picture we have a dog. She is so cute. Her name is Daffodil, but we call her Daffy. She's a basset hound and she's 3 months. We got her the week of Thanksgiving. Other than that time has just been flying by. It has started to snow, so it definitely seems like Christmas. Our weekends have been very busy with parties and visitors. We are looking forward to the holiday break and more time with family and friends. So if I don't update for a while Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Pool Party

The first time Kelly walked down into our new basement he said "Hey we could put a pool table down here." Since then he has brought it up once or twice randomly, but never made a big issue out of it. While we were in town doing some errands a couple weeks ago he wanted to stop and just look at them and price them. I knew when we walked into the store that we would walk out the proud owner's of a new pool table. I was okay with that, I've wanted to learn how to play. So yes, we now have a pool table. We had to wait a week and a half before they could set it up. They came and set it up a week ago. Kelly's sister and brother came to help us try it out. It wasn't really a party, but we still had fun. We have played on it a lot. I really enjoy it, although I'm not very good at it yet. Every once in a while I impress myself, but that is usually short lived. So if you are ever in town stop by and we can have a pool party.

Hunting Season

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It is hunting season, so every day off and weekend we have been up in the mountains. I love hunting, it is so peaceful and beautiful. I also like all the time Kelly and I get to spend together. Yes, we were successful. Kelly shot a buck. I didn't get a chance to get a buck this year, but I drew on a cow elk hunt so I got an elk instead. This is only my second year to hunt, and last year I didn't shoot anything, so this was my first kill (it sounds so bad when you word it that way). Anyway, my husband was so proud and excited. I was pretty excited too. We are going to have plenty of meat in our freezer.

For the Record

I want to set the record straight. Everyone is showing you pictures of snow, because yes it is already snowing here, but the snow they saw was just a skiff. Let me show you what we were doing this weekend. It was the first weekend of hunting season. When we got up there it was chilly and very fall feeling outside. On Saturday, as you have read in all the other posts, it started to snow. Then it kept snowing, and kept snowing, and yes when we woke up there was at least a foot and a little more. None of this wimpy stuff they had down here. Yes we still went hunting, but no we didn't get anything shot. I don't have pictures of it, but I do have pictures from last year. That's right, it did the same thing to us last year. It did wait until the second weekend though. Last year we thought it was strange and crazy, and this year I'm thinking, I hope mother nature doesn't make this a habit. It doesn't usually snow during hunting season, at least not this much. Anyway here are some pictures from last year, keep in mind that this year it was a little worse.

Thanks for Visiting

I'm Sure you know that last week Shiloh and Cami were here. Cami and Lily got to stay with us. We loved having them and we can't wait until they can come back. It was so much fun to spend time with them. Shiloh and Adam too. Here are a few pictures. Giving miss Lily a bath was so much fun. I even got to paint her toes. Aren't they so cute.

Nouveau Riche

For those of you who don't know a couple of months ago I decided to go into Real Estate Investing. I signed up for a college called Nouveau Riche. It has been awesome. They only have classes once every two months for a week at a time. The classes are held in Phoenix, which is going to be really nice when winter hits here. It is not like a regular college where you have to go, but why wouldn't you want to. They teach you so many things about real estate investing like, Fix and Flips, Short Sales, Subject to purchase, Lease options, Land options, and other things to do with your business like bookkeeping and tax strategies. I'm loving it, and I like a lot of the people I am meeting. It has really given me more confidence, and helped me to realize that if I just apply myself I can learn more things than nails. I still love nails too, but I think I can love them both. Anyway, if any of you know someone who is trying to sell their house, whether it is pre-foreclosure, they need to move fast, or they just want to get out and they are a little more motivated to sell than the average person, give me a call or e-mail me. It doesn't just have to be a house it could be plain land too. My office number is 754-4467 or e-mail at crystal_clear_investing@hotmail.com. You can also let me know if you want to join Nouveau Riche. I can definitely hook you up. It is a great opportunity to do part time or full, from your home or an office.
