Pool Party

The first time Kelly walked down into our new basement he said "Hey we could put a pool table down here." Since then he has brought it up once or twice randomly, but never made a big issue out of it. While we were in town doing some errands a couple weeks ago he wanted to stop and just look at them and price them. I knew when we walked into the store that we would walk out the proud owner's of a new pool table. I was okay with that, I've wanted to learn how to play. So yes, we now have a pool table. We had to wait a week and a half before they could set it up. They came and set it up a week ago. Kelly's sister and brother came to help us try it out. It wasn't really a party, but we still had fun. We have played on it a lot. I really enjoy it, although I'm not very good at it yet. Every once in a while I impress myself, but that is usually short lived. So if you are ever in town stop by and we can have a pool party.

Hunting Season

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It is hunting season, so every day off and weekend we have been up in the mountains. I love hunting, it is so peaceful and beautiful. I also like all the time Kelly and I get to spend together. Yes, we were successful. Kelly shot a buck. I didn't get a chance to get a buck this year, but I drew on a cow elk hunt so I got an elk instead. This is only my second year to hunt, and last year I didn't shoot anything, so this was my first kill (it sounds so bad when you word it that way). Anyway, my husband was so proud and excited. I was pretty excited too. We are going to have plenty of meat in our freezer.

For the Record

I want to set the record straight. Everyone is showing you pictures of snow, because yes it is already snowing here, but the snow they saw was just a skiff. Let me show you what we were doing this weekend. It was the first weekend of hunting season. When we got up there it was chilly and very fall feeling outside. On Saturday, as you have read in all the other posts, it started to snow. Then it kept snowing, and kept snowing, and yes when we woke up there was at least a foot and a little more. None of this wimpy stuff they had down here. Yes we still went hunting, but no we didn't get anything shot. I don't have pictures of it, but I do have pictures from last year. That's right, it did the same thing to us last year. It did wait until the second weekend though. Last year we thought it was strange and crazy, and this year I'm thinking, I hope mother nature doesn't make this a habit. It doesn't usually snow during hunting season, at least not this much. Anyway here are some pictures from last year, keep in mind that this year it was a little worse.

Thanks for Visiting

I'm Sure you know that last week Shiloh and Cami were here. Cami and Lily got to stay with us. We loved having them and we can't wait until they can come back. It was so much fun to spend time with them. Shiloh and Adam too. Here are a few pictures. Giving miss Lily a bath was so much fun. I even got to paint her toes. Aren't they so cute.

Nouveau Riche

For those of you who don't know a couple of months ago I decided to go into Real Estate Investing. I signed up for a college called Nouveau Riche. It has been awesome. They only have classes once every two months for a week at a time. The classes are held in Phoenix, which is going to be really nice when winter hits here. It is not like a regular college where you have to go, but why wouldn't you want to. They teach you so many things about real estate investing like, Fix and Flips, Short Sales, Subject to purchase, Lease options, Land options, and other things to do with your business like bookkeeping and tax strategies. I'm loving it, and I like a lot of the people I am meeting. It has really given me more confidence, and helped me to realize that if I just apply myself I can learn more things than nails. I still love nails too, but I think I can love them both. Anyway, if any of you know someone who is trying to sell their house, whether it is pre-foreclosure, they need to move fast, or they just want to get out and they are a little more motivated to sell than the average person, give me a call or e-mail me. It doesn't just have to be a house it could be plain land too. My office number is 754-4467 or e-mail at crystal_clear_investing@hotmail.com. You can also let me know if you want to join Nouveau Riche. I can definitely hook you up. It is a great opportunity to do part time or full, from your home or an office.

Our Redneck Yacht Club

Even though Kelly and I work hard all week, we seem to find time on the weekend to do something fun. If we are not at a rodeo, we are golfing, if we aren't golfing, we are boating. The last couple of weekends it has been really warm, so we went boating instead of golfing. One of the guys Kelly works with has a really nice ski boat, and Kelly's boss has a pontoon boat(party barge) and 2 jet skis. We take the boats out and anchor down the party barge, then tie everything else to it. Usually someone we know with a boat shows up and ties off to us, too. So yes, we have our own redneck yacht club. We love it. We spend all day riding jet skis, jumping off cliff, wake boarding, and sunbathing. We have a blast. I'm not going to label all of these pictures but here are some of our fun.
The boys didn't want to swim to the rocks so they used the tube.
Kelly jumping off the rocks.
Kelly wake boarding. He's getting the hang of it.
I don't think that's how it works.
This is my battle wound. One of the boats was coming untied, so I jumped on it. I scraped my leg across one of the rails in the party barge. It really wasn't as bad as it looks. I have two little tiny scrapes you can hardly see. I have no idea why there is such a big bruise. I guarantee I've done a lot worse and never left a mark. Oh well it looks pretty cool.
We make fun anyway we can.

Busy, Busy

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. We have both been very busy with work during the week. On the weekends it seems like we are hardly ever here, because there is always a rodeo to go to. Here are a few pictures, I'll get a better post out someday.
