Passing the time

As most of you know I stopped working when I had Clancy. Not just maternity leave, but I have decided to try and be a stay at home mom. Everyone askes me how I like it and I have to say I love it. I do miss my co-workers, and some of my clients that I was close too, but overall I haven't missed having to go to work. I stay pretty busy around the house, and we have a hard time sitting still on the weekends. Seems like we always have something to do. This is what we have been doing to pass the time. We are out of the trailer. The last week in July we rented a little house in Blackfoot. It's nothing special, but it's cute inside. I don't want to be here forever, but it works for now. We are still looking to buy, but we haven't found the right house yet. Clancy has been meeting family members. We took this picture of the four generations on the Crystal side. Great-grandpa Demont, Kelly holding Clancy, Grandpa Randy. We have a four generation picture from when Kelly was about a week old. The outfit Clancy is wearing is the same one Kelly wore when he was a baby. I can't believe my mother in-law saved it all these years. Clancy was a month old by the time we got the men together and he almost didn't fit in the outfit. He is growing so fast, 3 months old already. He still eats all the time. A month ago at his 2 month check up he had gained 4 1/2 lbs and grown 3 inches. He's not fat though, just solid. He hates being on his belly. If you lay him on his belly he immediately rolls over. He loves to see what's going on, and you need to be moving at all times. I got his jumper chair thing out of storage. I was worried that he was to small, but even though his feet barely touch the ground he loves it. He will jump until he is worn out. He is also getting good at holding on to toys, and really good at holding on to hair. Clancy is a happy baby, he really only cries if he is hungry. Right now he loves to talk and coo at you. As soon as you talk back it is instant smiles. When I went to post this picture of Clancy I remembered a similar one of Tyree so I dug it out. Tyree is a month older when her's was taken, but still I think you can tell they are siblings. They have the same mouth and chin. Tyree is such a great big sister. She loves to help. Now that Clancy interacts a little bit she will dance and sing for him. It's so cute. We've put her in dance class (ballet/tap) 1 night a week. When we get to class she gets really shy and won't talk to anyone or dance. She just stands in the class and watches. The teacher has to take her by the hand and move her around. I was going to take her out of it but, when she gets home all she does is talk about her class and shows us all the things she learned, so she really loves it. Last week there was a little movement, she is improving. In other news she got her first black eye a couple of months ago.(it was going away by the time I decided to take a picture) She was at her aunt's house, she stepped on something and the other end of it came up and whacked her. My sister in-law felt bad but I wasn't worried. It happens, I'm surprised it took this long. We've spent a lot of time in Grays Lake this summer. Tyree is quite attached to her great-grandpa Demont, whom she just recently started calling "Great Mont".  I don't know where it came from but I think it's cute. She loves to play in the ditch when we go up there. Parker even got to come with us. We've played with cousins a lot this summer, and now Tyree really misses them. There were a couple of birthdays. Kelly's 35th in July and Tyree's 3rd in Sept. I will do her birthday post later (hopefully). We also went to the fair a couple of times. The State Fair is always in Blackfoot, so now we are only 5 minutes away.  We ate lots of food. (Chicken fried bacon. Battered like a chicken fried steak, deep fried, and served with country gravy) Awesome! I love walking through the animal barns. Tyree loved it too, maybe not as much as she loved having her face painted. Some people are so talented. I think it only took the lady about a minute and a half to do that. Of course that was after we stood in in line for 40 minutes. So once again this has turned into a really long post, but that's what we've been doing to pass the time. Amongst fishing, flying kites, going to the park, and trying to catch a nap here and there. (Maybe they are dreaming about big bucks. Hunting season starts in 2 weeks!)

Clancy J

Yes, finally, I am introducing Clancy. Sorry it has taken so long. On June 24 I went in first thing in the morning to be induced. I was 10 days over my due date. There's not really a lot to write about, they broke my water about 7:45 am, I got an epidural about 11:30, I started pushing around 1:45 pm, and he was born at 2:09 pm. So here he is Clancy J Crystal 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches. I would like to give you some big long detailed story, but there really wasn't one. Everything just went so smooth, and I actually really felt great afterwards. I am blessed to have such a supportive husband, that makes the labor and the first few weeks go by so much better. Tyree, Parker, and Gideon got to watch him get his first bath. Tyree was very upset that Clancy was crying and she kept crying "I want my baby, I want my dad". She couldn't figure out why the lady took her baby from dad and why was she making him cry. She would get very upset the first couple of days when he would cry. Clancy has been a great baby. He eats really well, actually all the time when he is awake. He loves to snuggle. He was a little jaundice the first week so he had to be on a light but no biggie we got it all cleared up. The two kids have been keeping me busy and I can't even tell you what we have been doing. Just the everyday things take longer. Really it hasn't been to bad, I think I'm handling it as good as anybody. I have decided the second baby is a little easier. I felt so much better physically and emotionally. I'm sure some of that is because of my wonderful husband and the great family support I have. On tues. he will be a month old and I can't even believe it. Sorry this has taken so long to get blogged, but I don't have internet right now, and I've enjoyed just hanging out with my kids and not being in a hurry to do anything. I feel like he has changed already. At his 2 week check up he weighed 9 lbs and had grown a half inch.
Tyree has gone through a little adjustment, but she has turned out to be a great big sister and a good helper. Sometimes a little to much help but that's ok. She has such a great personality, full of attitude (sometimes to much) and spunk. She loves to sing and dance, and will tell all kinds of stories. I never could have imagined she could be so fun, and smart. It makes me wonder what Clancy will be like at that age. On June 21 (a week after my due date) we drove down to Twin Falls because some of best friends, Kenny & Megan, got married. They got married in their backyard, so the children played in the the arena most of the night. We had a great time, lots of dancing and lots of fun. Tyree also had fun with dad at the hotel pool. The next morning we were back at their house to help clean up and I looked out in the arena and saw the two girls "going hunting" has they told me. The other little girl is one of Tyree"s best friends, Blakely. When I worked Blakely's mom watched Tyree. So they have spent a lot of time together.
For the 4th of July we didn't do much. Kelly had to work most of the day, so I sent Tyree to the parade with her grand parents.  It was pretty hot so I didn't want to take Clancy out. After Kelly got home we took the kids to Menan to watch the fireworks. This is what you do on the 4th when you are 10 days old.
Clancy went to his first rodeo when he was 11 days old. It was up in Rexburg.
My sister, Cami, and her family came to visit so Tyree got some time to play with cousin. It was so fun! We went to the water park, and played in the sprinkler. Tyree got to help uncle Jacob make pies. Clancy also got lots of loves. We even had a very quick visit from my aunt Hillary, uncle Jake, and Gabe.
In other news we are still in the camper and looking for a place down around Blackfoot. We've been kind of disappointed with some of the houses we have looked at, but we will find something when the right thing comes along. The camper really hasn't been to bad. It just makes me grateful for the house that we will have someday.
Anyway that's about it.The other day Tyree and I took some pictures. It is kind of hard with a 2 year old helper, but we managed. He has a little pointed ear that I thought might straighten out, but I don't think it is going to. I'm glad though because I have come to love it. So I will just leave you with a bunch of pictures.
