I know it has been awhile since I posted, and those posts were from Christmas time, so here's what's been happening since then. The kids and I stay home and play a lot.

Kelly and I are able to get away sometimes and we were able to go steelhead fishing one day.

We didn't catch anything, but we still had a great time just being together. We got to see some big horn sheep so that's always fun.

Tyree is still in dance and is working on her recital dances which is going to be May 16. Clancy is growing as fast as he can.

He has 6 teeth and is trying to cut more. His body is in constant motion unless he is sleeping. It is a challenge trying to change his diaper and dress him. As my mother in-law says "It's like trying to put clothes on an octopus!" He crawls everywhere but really, really wants to be able to walk. He can pull himself up on anything but he can't get more than a step or two. It won't be long I'm sure before he takes off.
He's into everything already and will climb anything. I'm amazed at the things he climbs up on and he just laughs. There's not much he's afraid of, loud noises and strangers are about it. Heights, animals, and baths don't bother him at all. Bath time is a favorite for both kids.

After I get Clancy out and am trying to get him lotion-ed and dressed, he's always trying to climb back in with sister.
We also got Kelly's deer mount back. They did a great job, and it looks amazing. The hard part was trying to find a spot for it in our little rental house. The ceilings are maybe 7 feet high. So that means when he is hanging on the wall we are at eye level with each other. There was really only one good place where he wouldn't be sticking out for us to walk into him. Above the TV.

His face literally sticks out just above the TV. At first it was a little weird I always found myself looking at the deer and not watching TV, but now I don't even notice.
As life goes not everything that happens to us is filled with happiness. There is also some times of sorrow. On Friday March 13 in the morning we got the phone call to come to the hospital because Kelly's grandpa, Demont Crystal, was in his final hours. We were so fortunate to be able to be with him and let him feel our love. He passed that evening.

Although it was a sad time, it was also a great time. We were able to be surrounded by family and friends, and share so many great memories. The outpouring of love and friendship was amazing and we would like to thank everyone for their support. The week leading up to the funeral was actually wonderful. We were able to talk to so many people we hadn't talked to or seen in years. It really was a testament to what a great person Grandpa was. We had a wonderful relationship with him so of course we think that, but when we saw the number of people who came and called and shared their memories, it really makes you realize what a great person he was and how blessed we were to have him in our lives. He treated everyone the same, like a good friend. He always had a smile and a nickname for you, and he was full of life. He always wanted to be going and doing. Fixing fence, working cows,or just fishing, and playing cards, but always doing something. He was fortunate enough to be going and doing until his last day. His health was decent and his mind was good. Even though I know I will see him again, and that death shouldn't be sad because it is not the end but only a new beginning, I still shed a tear every now and again because I miss him. I am a little sad that my children won't remember him.

But that is life, we have to have sorrow to know happiness, and I have no doubt that he has found a fishing hole with endless fish and the warmth of the sun on his back. He will wait and fish until we can see him again, and then he will probably ask if we brought more worms.

We love him and we'll miss him!
(Sorry to leave on a sad note but there is more so check back)
