Skye was right!

I want you all to go to Skye's blog, find your Zodiac sign, and read your forecast. I have to say I am starting to become a believer. A week or two ago Skye posted how it was the end of the year of the rabbit, if only she knew how right she was. It was only a few days later that our beloved family pet rabbit, Lola, was taken from this life (by a dog). For those of you who are not familiar with Lola, I will give you quick run down of her life. 3 years ago Kelly gave me this cute, little, white, fluff ball, bunny for my birthday. I litter box trained her so she lived in the house with us. Slowly the small bunny became a large rabbit, the white fluff liked to shed, and although she was completely potty trained, we could not seem to break her of chewing on everything. So, after about 10 months she became an outside rabbit. It was better because our house was to warm for her with all that fur. She was trained enough by then that we could turn her loose and she would stay in the yard(even though we don't have a fence) until we put her up at night. She loved to dig holes in the snow in the winter, and lay in the cool grass in the summer. I was constantly chasing her out of the flower beds, they were like candy to her. A week ago we had turned her out, and as I was pulling out of the driveway I noticed a strange dog. Then I noticed he was literally eating my rabbit. Although part of me was very sad, I have to smile because she lived a good life. Even if she was wishing she was in better shape, I know she died a free, wild rabbit. Farewell Lola!

Florida Pics!

Finally I am updating. We had Christmas and then Tyree and I made a trip to Florida so I have been pretty busy. I am going to post the Florida pics now and hopefully I will get the Christmas pics up before Valentines Day. On Jan 4 Tyree and I flew out to Florida to visit my family. Half of them were running the Ragnar Relay, and the rest of us decided to make it a full family get together. Besides who doesn't want to go to Florida in Jan? Cali, Parker, Tyree and I traveled together. The little girls did great on all of the flights. The first day we just relaxed and waited for everyone to show up. It was the first time for Tyree to meet most of the family. We took lots of pictures. It was so fun to meet Gage and Reagen for the first time. After the runners went out on Fri. we went to the everglades to see some alligators. There was Cami, and her 3 kids Lily, Ransom, Gage, and our brother inlaw Ryan (Skye was running) with their baby Reagen, and his mother Donna. Also me, Tyree, and Parker. Cali was running too. It was fun to see the alligators, and it still blows my mind that you just walk right by them with no fence. On Sat. we loaded up and drove down to Key West to cheer are runners across the finish. They did awesome and we are so proud. We took pictures at the southern most point, walked around a little, and grabbed some food. It was fun, but I would love to go back and spend more time one day. Sunday we sang in church, of course, and then relaxed. Monday was a big day because we went to Disney World. It was a first time me, and it was fun! There was way to much stuff to do. We definitely need to go back. Tyree loved it too, the rides and the light parade. Tuesday was our last day, so we stopped by the beach. We had been so busy that we didn't have time for Tyree to put her feet in the ocean. The day was beautiful. I wish our flight wasn't leaving later that day because I would have put my suit on too, and hung out. The important thing was Tyree got to wear her swim suit (grandma brought it back from Hawaii) and have her first beach experience. She is so cute!! That wraps up our Florida trip. It was such a great time and I loved being with my family. THE END!!

2 month update & Family pics

Tyree went to the Dr. on Wed. for her 2 month check up and shots. The Dr. says she is doing great. Her developmental skills are perfect and she is healthy. She now weighs 11 lbs. 9.5 oz and is 25.5 inches. That puts her 50% - 60% in weight and 90% in height. She is doing great, she loves to smile and coo at you. We decided to take some family pictures about 2 weeks ago. The plan was to do some of them outside in front of the barn, but the weather wasn't cooperating. I still think they turned out ok. I love the ones in the saddle. The big saddle is obviously one that Kelly won for bull riding. The little one is the one I used to use way back when my family had horses. We have been so blessed this year and we have so much to be thankful for. Our Thanksgiving was great. We love being with family, and as usual we ate to much. We hope you all had a great holiday too!

Halloween!

Ok so we didn't go all out on her first Halloween, actually we didn't do anything at all. We were going to trick or treat the grandma's, but Tyree has had a runny nose and the weather was nasty that night. So we just stayed home and passed out candy. I only put her costume on for the picture. She hated the thing around her face. She did wear her witch shoes all night while we passed out candy. I think they are so cute. As for an update, when I went to the Dr. this week we weighed her and she weighs 10 lbs. She is growing so fast. We go back to Tyree's Dr. for her 2 month check up in a couple of weeks, so I will have more to update then.
