Clancy J

Yes, finally, I am introducing Clancy. Sorry it has taken so long. On June 24 I went in first thing in the morning to be induced. I was 10 days over my due date. There's not really a lot to write about, they broke my water about 7:45 am, I got an epidural about 11:30, I started pushing around 1:45 pm, and he was born at 2:09 pm. So here he is Clancy J Crystal 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches. I would like to give you some big long detailed story, but there really wasn't one. Everything just went so smooth, and I actually really felt great afterwards. I am blessed to have such a supportive husband, that makes the labor and the first few weeks go by so much better. Tyree, Parker, and Gideon got to watch him get his first bath. Tyree was very upset that Clancy was crying and she kept crying "I want my baby, I want my dad". She couldn't figure out why the lady took her baby from dad and why was she making him cry. She would get very upset the first couple of days when he would cry. Clancy has been a great baby. He eats really well, actually all the time when he is awake. He loves to snuggle. He was a little jaundice the first week so he had to be on a light but no biggie we got it all cleared up. The two kids have been keeping me busy and I can't even tell you what we have been doing. Just the everyday things take longer. Really it hasn't been to bad, I think I'm handling it as good as anybody. I have decided the second baby is a little easier. I felt so much better physically and emotionally. I'm sure some of that is because of my wonderful husband and the great family support I have. On tues. he will be a month old and I can't even believe it. Sorry this has taken so long to get blogged, but I don't have internet right now, and I've enjoyed just hanging out with my kids and not being in a hurry to do anything. I feel like he has changed already. At his 2 week check up he weighed 9 lbs and had grown a half inch.
Tyree has gone through a little adjustment, but she has turned out to be a great big sister and a good helper. Sometimes a little to much help but that's ok. She has such a great personality, full of attitude (sometimes to much) and spunk. She loves to sing and dance, and will tell all kinds of stories. I never could have imagined she could be so fun, and smart. It makes me wonder what Clancy will be like at that age. On June 21 (a week after my due date) we drove down to Twin Falls because some of best friends, Kenny & Megan, got married. They got married in their backyard, so the children played in the the arena most of the night. We had a great time, lots of dancing and lots of fun. Tyree also had fun with dad at the hotel pool. The next morning we were back at their house to help clean up and I looked out in the arena and saw the two girls "going hunting" has they told me. The other little girl is one of Tyree"s best friends, Blakely. When I worked Blakely's mom watched Tyree. So they have spent a lot of time together.
For the 4th of July we didn't do much. Kelly had to work most of the day, so I sent Tyree to the parade with her grand parents.  It was pretty hot so I didn't want to take Clancy out. After Kelly got home we took the kids to Menan to watch the fireworks. This is what you do on the 4th when you are 10 days old.
Clancy went to his first rodeo when he was 11 days old. It was up in Rexburg.
My sister, Cami, and her family came to visit so Tyree got some time to play with cousin. It was so fun! We went to the water park, and played in the sprinkler. Tyree got to help uncle Jacob make pies. Clancy also got lots of loves. We even had a very quick visit from my aunt Hillary, uncle Jake, and Gabe.
In other news we are still in the camper and looking for a place down around Blackfoot. We've been kind of disappointed with some of the houses we have looked at, but we will find something when the right thing comes along. The camper really hasn't been to bad. It just makes me grateful for the house that we will have someday.
Anyway that's about it.The other day Tyree and I took some pictures. It is kind of hard with a 2 year old helper, but we managed. He has a little pointed ear that I thought might straighten out, but I don't think it is going to. I'm glad though because I have come to love it. So I will just leave you with a bunch of pictures.

So what do you do?

So much has been going on, it's crazy! Tyree is getting so big, the pregnancy is going great, and we finally sold our house. About a month ago we got an offer on our house and it was good enough to take. We were supposed to close the 19th with the possibility of it being a day or two sooner. Last Tues. they called and wanted to move it up. We had to be out by Thurs. night, and we signed on Fri the 13th (my due date was Sat. the 14th). We hadn't really found anything to buy yet, because we don't just want to jump into the first thing and dislike it later. Then with them moving the closing date up we were just trying to get out of the house, we didn't have time to focus on anything else. So what do you do....you move into the camp trailer. It's kind of small but it works. I think everyone else freaks out about it more than me, but I know it's only temporary for a couple of weeks. It's not as bad as it sounds. We parked it in Kelly's grandparents backyard. They are gone up to Gray's Lake in the summer quite a bit so we can use the house for things like washing clothes, and taking a shower in a normal size shower. They told us we could move into their downstairs, but we decided it is kind of nice to have your own space. When I think about how all this is going to work out with a newborn I just remind myself, my trailer is bigger than a covered wagon, and at least it has a toilet and a heater.
The pregnancy is going great. It doesn't slow me down much. I still herd cows, put up fence, and I played in a golf tournament the week before I was due. We got second in our flight, we only lost by 1 stroke. I have been planning on putting up a timeline of pics, but as I told you it's been busy. So this pic was taken the first of Feb. I was in my 5th month. This one is middle of March, 1 week before I started my last trimester. These two pictures were taken a week apart. The first April 2nd then April 11th. Is it just me or did my belly explode. I'm sure the angles and stuff make a difference but not that much. I also love Tyree, she wanted to be in the picture. Then there is this one in May, exactly one month before my due date. This is what I looked like on my due date... Surprise, I am still pregnant. For those who don't remember, Tyree was 11 days late. My due date came and went, and I was still pregnant, so what do you do..... we branded calves, what else. It was a great thing to do on Father's Day. Tyree got to ride the horse with her daddy. It doesn't bother me to bad that I am still pregnant. I was way to busy last week to have him anyway. He'll be here within the next 10 days. That's really not that long because pretty soon he'll be 2 1/2 and I won't know where the time went.
Speaking of 2 year olds, Tyree is so fun, and full of attitude. She is definitely an in-charge kind of person. She likes things done her way. She has gotten into fixing her own hair, isn't it lovely, and wearing what she calls "dancing skirts" (any kind of skirt with frills on it.) She will go outside and sing and dance. Making up all her own songs. She also likes to put on make up, beautiful! Don't let the girly stuff fool you, she is still a tom boy. She LOVES riding horses, playing in the dirt, and fishing. We spent Memorial weekend up to Gray's Lake and she asked to go fishing everyday. She's afraid of cats but not snakes, go figure. Tyree loves her daddy, and Father's Day was so much fun. After we branded we just hung out and Kelly tried to teach her to swing using her legs. I can't wait for the new baby, I love watching him with her. He is such a great dad. Tyree is going to be an awesome big sis. She already talks about her baby brother and shows me what things are his.
I've quit working, so I am going to try the stay at home mom job. I'm excited to see what adventures the summer brings.

Catching up

This post is probably going to be long and have a lot of pictures. I have been horrible at taking the time to sit and post. So to catch you up on the last 4 months this post will have Thanksgiving, Christmas, What's new with Tyree, Baby news, and all the stuff in between.
THANKSGIVING - Our Thanksgiving was really good. Most of my family wasn't here, so it was kind of small but really nice. In-laws, Grandparents in-law, and sister in-law family. Cody was in town, and he stopped by for a minute, but he had some other offers so he didn't stay. I made the turkey, (my first attempt ever). I don't have any pictures but it turned out great. The day was beautiful so we took some family photos for our Christmas card.
CHRISTMAS - Christmas was great! Tyree is at such a fun age, and that made Christmas morning even more fun. Well, after we finally got her to wake up. She was so excited for everyone to open presents, she would just start passing them out. Santa brought Tyree a vanity. Kelly and I gave her a set with a blow dryer, curling iron, and brush. She loves them! She will use them until she is satisfied then come out and say "I so pretty". I got some super cute boots and a new camera. We spent the rest of the day with the in-law family eating way to much food.  Why do we even buy them toys. Just give them bags and boxes. Tyree also got a snow suit and a sled from her grandparents, aunt, and uncle, so we had to go sledding one day. We couldn't really tell if she liked it, but she never cried and when she got done she wanted to go again. It was a really great holiday week for us and we couldn't be more blessed.
WHAT'S new with TYREE - She is turning into such a big girl. I can't believe 2 1/2 already. She is great at helping, and follows instructions pretty well. She talks well for her age, and she talks all the time. It's not annoying though, you can actually carry on a pretty good conversation with her, for a 2 year old. Sometimes she says the funniest things. It's not always what she says, but how she says them. She already understands how to use tone and facial expressions. She's potty trained, and we are working on ABC's and numbers. I'm already having to put her in 3T pants because her legs are getting long, but she's skinny. I think she is pretty average for height and weight though. It's calving season and she loves horses and cows. However she only likes the cows from on top of a horse or in the pick up. If you are on foot she is freaking out. Tyree is her dads girl when it comes to horses, she isn't scared one bit and she can tell you who's horse is who's. I also like to blame this on her dad but I'm sure it comes from both sides, she is STUBBORN! She will argue just for the sake of arguing, she is always right, and you can't show her anything because she will figure it out and do it herself. When she is with other people she is shy and soft spoken everyone tells us what an angel she is, but it is a different story at home with just mom and dad. She is an angel when she wants to be. It's not that she is bad, it's just that she wants to do it on her terms, and it needs to be her idea. If you tell her no she won't do it, she will just push it right to the limit, and she does it on purpose. It's like she is too smart and she is trying to out smart you. For instance, last night she had a drink and Kelly told her she had to stay on the tile with it. She of course (as any 2 year old would do) tried to come on the carpet and argue with him about it. When she realized that wasn't going to work and she was about to lose her drink she came back onto the tile, but you have to keep watching her because she then looked at Kelly and put 1 foot on the carpet. So she had 1 foot on the tile like she was supposed to but she had 1 barely on the carpet. So dad took her drink, she cried and he explained that she could have it back but she had to stay on the tile. So she got the drink back, and she proceeded to walk over to the edge of the tile and stand as close as she possibly could, without being off of course, and leaned out over the carpet and took a drink. Then she looked at Kelly and I with a big smile as to say "Well I am still on the tile!" Needless to say I am scared of the teenage years. All in all she is still a pretty good girl, she always has me laughing and our lives wouldn't be the same without her. She is very affectionate and tells us she loves us at night. The other day Kelly got called out to work. From across the room he said bye before he walked out the door and she came running over "wait daddy kiss, daddy kiss" It was so cute. My favorite is sometimes when I tell her I love her she says "You love me?!" Like she is totally surprised. It amazes me how much she grows and the things she picks up on. I should blog more because there is always something new to say about her.
BABY NEWS - The biggest news is that we found out we are having a BOY! We are both really excited about it. I am 27 weeks, so one more week till my last trimester. It has flown by. I have grabbed a few outfits here and there so he doesn't have to wear pink. Other than that I haven't done much. I really need to get on the ball. This pregnancy is pretty much the same as my first one. I have few different aches, and I can tell he sits a lot lower. Other than that I didn't get sick, and from looking back at pictures my belly growth is about the same. He is really, really active now, as was Tyree. I love it! I think feeling them moving is my favorite part of being pregnant. At my last appt. the Dr. said everything looks great and I am growing on schedule. I had only gained 9 lbs., that's awesome! By this time with Tyree I was already at 20lbs. Tyree is doing well with it. We talk about the baby in my belly, and tell her he will come out to live with us. Most days I think she understands, but I know she really won't get it all the way until he is here. She is great with other babies so I'm sure she will be an awesome big sister. This is really the only picture I have and it's a little over a month ago.
ALL the stuff in BETWEEN - The weekend of Thanksgiving Kelly and I went ice fishing one day. It is the only day we went this winter. It was still a lot of fun, and we got to try out our new pick up we bought that weekend. In Dec. and Jan. Kelly and I did a lot of rabbit hunting. Mainly because it's cheap, and we just drive a couple miles down the road. Tyree loves it. If she would see her dad putting his gun in the truck, she would go get the plastic one that goes with the Wii and make him put it in for her. She was pretty good at spotting the rabbits too. Way better than me. It's hard because some of them are white and there is snow on the ground, plus all the sage brush so you can just catch glimpses of them darting back and forth. We really haven't done very much this winter. Tyree loves to be outside. The snow and cold doesn't seem to bother her. She is daddy's little helper. No matter what he is doing she wants to help. She got to build her first snowman. I think they both enjoyed it. He had to have a whole face out of carrots because that was all we had. The steelhead fishing is just starting to get good so we haven't made it up there yet. The house is still for sale. We have had some lookers, but no offers yet. Hopefully this warmer weather will bring people out. Kelly is still really liking his job. He would like it a little better if he didn't have to drive so far, but the job it's self is great. Last weekend we went down to Utah and met up with most of my family. We had a reception to go to one night, and then Hillary had Gabe's 1st birthday on Sunday. It was so fun to see some of my sisters that I haven't seen for awhile. I love getting together with them and laughing about all of our quirks. I forgot my camera, but I did get some pictures from Cali of Tyree and Parker dancing at the reception. They are best friends, and are constantly talking about playing with each other. She loved playing with all her cousins. I don't think she realizes she has so many since we don't see them very often. She calls them her "cousin friends." It was a great weekend but way to short. I am excited for warm weather, flowers, golfing, camping, and the new baby. I'm sure we will be busy this summer as usual. My life is such a wonderful ride, and I am so grateful for it and all the people in it!
