A day with munchkin

I got to spend the day with Gideon yesterday. We had so much fun. He helped me run lots of errands then he helped me clean the house. After that we went to my inlaws and saw the puppies and the kitties. While we were there we popped into the garden to get some fresh veggies. My mother inlaw always has the best garden with tons of stuff. After that it was time to go home and see how Cali was doing.

My blog awards

I chose the three biggest fashion statements. The 2nd runner up was a tie, but they made the same statement. It goes to Odi and Preston for sticking things to your face. The 1st runner up goes to dad for the ever famous look that we have all seen many times through our childhood. The winner of the best fashion statement is Shiloh! Sorry Shi but I couldn't help it. The white socks and shoes with the black outfit is just interesting(really I could search the blogs and find us all making a fashion statement at one point in time). I tag Hillary, love you all.

The Great White Rabbit Hunt

Have you ever crawled into a space with ease, but had a much harder time getting out? Similar to the kid who puts his head through the railing. It goes through with ease but has a harder time coming out. Let me introduce you to our night about two days ago. Lola found her way behind the dryer and into a little hole we did not even know existed. To the right of the dryer she found a way to get under my shelves. I tried to coax her out with some food, but with no success. I grabbed her at one point but seemed to get stuck and I couldn't get her out. I figured that she got in there and when she was hungry she would come out. When Kelly came home we tried again. It still didn't work. We went to bed and got up a couple of times through the night to check on her. It is not like her to not come out for her evening feeding, also she was letting us pet her and grab her but we just couldn't seem to get her out because of the angle. Finally at 3 in the morning we decided to cut a hole so she could get out. The hole that you can see to the bottom on the left is the one we cut. She went in an opening around the corner next to the wall. We had to move the dryer and unhook the vent. It was a pain. Yes, she did come out and we have fixed both holes. That's the story of the Great White Rabbit Hunt.(Needless to say we were both very tired the next day)

What we do

So it has been awhile since I got up a real post. I'm just going to run through the last month. The weather has been unusual. Rainy and only in the 60's for the last month. Kelly and I have both been blessed with work so we are gone all day. My work has been so busy that I have even been taking a few clients on my day off to keep up. By the time we both get home about 7, we eat, and play with Lola for a minute, and go to bed. Our weekends are full of golfing, fishing, and trying to finish our lawn. We have the sprinklers in and the weeds killed, now we just need to plant grass. This month we have had an exceptional amount of weddings on the weekends so we have had to squeeze those in too. One weekend Jake and Hillary came up so we got to visit with them. It was Jake's birthday so we had a little party. Hillary got to play with Lola. As you all know last weekend was Father's Day so happy Father's Day to all of you. Since my family is out of town dad just got a phone call. We had dinner with Kelly's family and then we played the wii. Kelly's mom and dad boxed, bowled, and played tennis. It is kind of funny because having Kelly's dad play a video game is like my dad playing a video game. They just don't do it. Well, Kelly's dad beat everyone in the bowling. It was fun. That's pretty much what we've been up to.

Still Here

Yes we are still here. Sorry it has been so long. I have been crazy, busy at work and the last few weekends have been packed with birthdays and weddings. I promise to get an update soon. Until then we are all doing well. It has been raining a lot and not overly warm here. Kelly is busy at work (in between rain storms), and Lola is the same just a little bigger.

Wedding Weekend

Ok so as most of you know my cousin Erin got married last weekend. If you follow the rest of my families posts you have probably seen a lot of pictures, but here are the ones that we took. It was a short trip, we flew out on Friday and flew back on Monday. Even though it was short we had fun and wished we could have stayed longer. It was so nice to see all of the family. I hadn't seen a lot of them in years, and Kelly had never met most of them. We stayed with Grandma Louise. Kelly really loved that she has a fishing pond in her backyard. Saturday morning we drove around and saw all of the places I lived. The only one I got a picture of was Carbon. No one lives there now so the cabin is run down. Saturday evening was the wedding and reception. It was beautiful and we had a great time. Sunday was a brunch and then we had a surprise party for Cami. Her birthday was on Monday but, we were all leaving that day so we celebrated it early. That was pretty much our weekend. We flew home bright and early Monday morning.
