Christmas

Sorry it's a little late but here are Christmas pictures. I really didn't take very many pictures, I think I was too busy with all the family and fun. We were so blessed to have most of my family here, and Kelly's sister came up from Texas. It was a wonderful time visiting with everyone. Tyree loves having her cousins her to play with her. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas too, and Good Fortune in the New Year!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was awesome! We drove down to New Mexico to Cami and Jacob's house. Hillary and Jake also came down, along with Jacob's parents Mike and Dru, and Jacob's sister Amelia. It was a great visit. We hiked a couple of days, I only have pictures from Pyramid rock. The scenery and the weather were beautiful. Then we did some target shooting, I don't have any pictures of that. Of course we ate tons of food. The turkey was fabulous. Great job Cami. Just hanging out and visiting with family made it a perfect Thanksgiving.I am so grateful to have my great family, healthy little girl, and amazing husband. I couldn't be more blessed. Tyree loved it too, she loved playing with her cousins. Can't wait for Christmas and more family fun.

Halloween

Halloween was great. We carved pumpkins for the first time in a long time. Grandma Joliene and cousin Jessi came over. Tyree had fun, but did not manage to stay awake for the whole thing. The pumpkin guts didn't seem to bother her. Her favorite part was putting things in the pumpkins and putting the lid back on. On Tuesday night we went to a trunk or treat with Cali, Gideon, and Parker. There was a ton of people, she wasn't so for sure about that. When I got home from work at 6:25 on Wed. night there were people every where. Apparently the ward did their Halloween party and trunk or treat in our little subdivision. It was so fun. I am just sorry I was late because it started at 6. I hurried and put Tyree in her costume (thank goodness it was an easy one) and we got busy handing out candy. She loved it, she would stand on the front porch and yell at the people as they walked up the driveway. Then she would wave Hi and Bye. I did take her to a few of the neighbors houses, but she didn't care for that very much. Once the trick or treaters slowed down, we went and saw the grandparents. That was it for our first Halloween.

Daddy's gone a hunting...

.... and mommy too! Sorry if I haven't kept in touch very well. It's hunting season you know, so for the last 8 weekends we have been out of phone range. For the most part that is really kind of nice. We did a lot more hunting this year than usual. Kelly decided to archery hunt again, plus he drew on an antelope tag. So that gave us even more weekends of hunting pleasure. All of Sept. was just archery, so Tyree and I would hang out at the ranch with the grandparents while Kelly went out. He didn't get anything. Although he saw some nice elk, nothing got quite close enough to shoot. After that hunt ended it was time to get an antelope. Neither of us had ever been on an antelope hunt before. It was different but fun. Mostly just driving around back roads and fields until you see one. Then you have to put the sneak on to get close enough to shoot. This meant that Tyree and I could go. Antelope are a high desert animal, not a timberland one, so this hunt was in Mackay. It was a really pretty place in it's own way, but definitely desert. We bought a little camp trailer a couple weeks ago. I was so glad to have it considering it was 17 degrees every morning. I don't think a tent would have cut it. We parked at the cutest campground right on the Mackay reservoir. After Kelly got his antelope we fished for a couple of hours before heading home. Kelly was able to fill his tag. It wasn't as big as he wanted, but it's decent, and not bad for his first one.

The next two weekends were open for deer, so back up to Gray's Lake we went. The weather was actually really nice this year. We weren't freezing and we weren't soaking wet. I was able to get my deer on the first weekend. I was so excited, a little 3 point. He's no monster buck, but the biggest one I have shot. The next weekend Kelly got his. It's only a 2 x 3, but it's a really, really nice deer. It is bigger than some of the 4 points we have at home. Needless to say we have plenty of meet in the freezer. Tyree was a trooper for every weekend. I think she loves it as much as we do. It was great hunting season, we can't wait till next year.

Tuesday the 18th was Tyree's 1st birthday! It is crazy to think that at this time last year I was a brand new mom, and now I have a 1 year old. It has been such a fun year. They say your life changes after you have a child, and yes it does. It takes a lot longer to get ready, and you have to take a ton more stuff everywhere you go. For those people who say your life ends, or you never get to do the same things anymore, they apparently don't know how to adapt. We still do all the same things Tyree just comes with us. She likes to go and do things, it doesn't really matter what it is as long as she can go. It amazes me how much she has grown and learned. She walks everywhere now. She jabbers, but the only real words are mom, dad, hi and bye. She waves when she says Hi and Bye. Tyree loves music, shoes, and animals. She knows which toys are Chichi's, and she will pick them up and try to give them to her, or throw the ball down the stairs for her to get.

So to celebrate her birthday we had cake and ice cream on Saturday with grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins, and friends. We were up to Grays Lake, since it is hunting season, so it was fun to have it outside. On Monday we had another little celebration for Cali, Gideon, Parker, and Uncle Ryan. They were unable to come up to Grays Lake. This time we had cupcakes and cheesecake. She got some great stuff, some clothes, toys, and of course her very first pink rope. Thanks to everyone.  I didn't get any pictures of her on her actual birthday, but trust me she looked so cute. She wore this darling outfit that Cali and the kids gave her the night before, and had her hair in piggy tails. We didn't do to much but hang around the house, then went to town to run some errands. She did however eat her first chicken nugget (actually she ate 2), and got her toenails painted for the first time. It was a great start to our week.
